Product really works and helped with the soreness in my ankle. At first I thought this would be too big to be comfortable, but it is the perfect size for relief of back pain.

I usually use the highest temp but the lower temps are a nice option to have.  It shuts off automatically which is nice if you fall asleep with it on.  I am able to use it on my neck, back, legs, with good results.  Highly recommend!. I use this for my knee pain and it really really helped. I like that the product works well.  Excellent  adhesive.  The price is a bit high.

WE HAVE BEEN USING THIS PRODUCT FOR YEARS AND LOVE IT. The patches work but boy do they stink.

Love it especially with shoulder pain.   Work wonderfully.   But, within 30 minutes the pain was minimized I would raise my arm with at least 75% better range of motion in my shoulder.

I used it for heat on my back and feet. My Orthopedic Dr recommended these she time ago due to spinal issues I am not going to persue surgery at this tiime.  I started with a well known name brand, and it helped.  I decided to try   Basics, they are every bit as good! Highly recommend, I use them daily!.

Of course, it will not spray upside down so she can not use it on her lumbar area by herself. Product is great, when you actually recieve it, due to  s shipping management.

The spray part does not work well, but I use it every morning for my sciatica. I like these smaller patches that make it easy to apply on yourself.

Great for taking some in your purse or gym bag. I was approaching having to use Norco every night just to sleep.  These patches are great and I am no longer considering Norco just to sleep!.

I have tried patches before without success, but this was a gr8 to target certain areas of concern. I used this many years ago, ran out, then forgot about.

These have a very low amount of burn. I have Sickle Cell Disease, which causes me excruciating pain in my bones, joints, and muscles.  These are the only pain patches that penetrate deeply, stay on, and work great, for a cheap price! They are only $1 each and work 10x better than the more pricey ones.  I highly recommend these.

I used them on the sides of my neck and it really takes the edge off.  They are stretchy and flexible and easy to apply.  They come in three packs that can reseal so you can conveniently keep the packs in different locations.  The relief lasts for hours! You can find that relief is noticed within an hour to a few hours as it whittles down the pain as time goes on. Great for pain relief and they stay in place all day! they are the best value pain patch you can buy!.

It all depends where on the body you are using it but like all of the others I have tried the adhesive will give out if It is in a place that has a lot of motion.   Pain relief is definitely there and the only negative is the adhesion of the patch.   This is on par with all the other brands I have tried.   I used a few and put them side by side to get coverage for a larger area.

Next time I am going to have to buy a larger amount though, I am going through these fast. My shoulder hurts and these take the pain away.   There is also a tiger balm that burns alot more, which takes your mind off the joint pain.   I like the adhesion patch, it feels like it does something just having it on there.   And they nailed the adhesion, it stays put, without hurting when you remove it.

I have had 3 bulging disc for a minimum of 12 years this patch is the only thing I have found that helps other than pillsmuch rather use these patches.  What I especially like about them compared to others, they do not rip the hair and skin off.  There are few patches that I literally cried trying to get them off.  I often use these on my neck.  Where others I cannot.  This work for 12 hours.

I recommend these patches for anyone with pain anywhere external. When my back is painful, these patches are a godsend.  I anticipate that satin or high thread count cotton sheets would make the edges less likely to roll up and become dislodged from the skin.   They stop the pain and I am able to relax the muscles in my back which helps the pain to reduce and finally end.

Also watch tv in my office and use on low heat for more warmth.  It has held up very well considering how much I use it. It is very large I use it for two things lower back and buttocks for sciatica pain.  They stick on with no issues and you can continue to be active and they will not fall off.

If they are to large you can cut them.  Also when I first put them on they would not stick so please use rubbing alcohol on the spot you want to put it before applying the patch so as to remove any excess oil. I love these patches.  It stays once you do that! I love that I do not have that strong of a smell with the patches.  Definitely recommend!. I fell recently and injured my rib cage.   After putting up with the pain for three days, I sent for these and got almost immediate relief. I am used for my back every night.

They apply just like a bandage and worked quickly for my back muscle pain.  Seemed to last long enough to get me through my day. These patches are small but work very well. Satisfied customer, but their is a miss advertisement.

You can always use more than 1 of these at a time if you need to cover a larger area or multiple areas. Absorbine plus micro patches work great! The help relieve soreness.  I love how they are small. It  gave fast relief of pain.  When I have used the larger ones it is easy for them to get ruppelled up.

did not move around and was pretty easy to remove in the morning. I put one on late evening and instantly noticed the warm sensation. I got these for my mom because she has pain with her sciatic nerve.  Definitely helped with my sore lower back.  I kept it on overnight and it was still working in the morning.

We had previously used Salonpas brand gel pain patches which did not stay in place & have become more expensive. We used exclusively for low back pain.  The   basic care lidocaine patches stayed put, were lower in price & worked as well as Salonpas brand.  I noticed the level of my pain decrease.

I am really happy they have updated packaging to include a resealed zip lock bag.  These are more expensive, but I really like how well they stay attached.  More like kensology tape them regular patches.  The quality and size of strength of pain relief is really nice as well. Review update Dec 2022  knee shape pain patch works great on knee, lower back, base of neck, top and back of shoulder.  I save these for the bigger pain jobs and really recommend!   Great pain relief patches that stay attached.  I use pain patches frequently so have experience with other patch types.  Yes these are an odd shape, but it seems to help them stay on, even areas that other patches struggle like the back of neck and lower back.  Most patches in these areas bunch up and fall off unless you prevent majority of movement.   These are long lasting feel working throughout 8hr period.  Good quantity ina box.   Only things I wish would be improved are the packaging does not reseal so I recommend a ziplock back after opening one of the 2 inner pouches so patches last longer.  Second thing there is no excess overlap on patch supporting material which makes it a littl more difficult to get off and ready to use.   If those 2 small things were fixed this would be 5 star across the board. Patch last a long time.

They work like the other 4% patches but they do not stick to your skin well.  Having them come off and roll up  they do not provide relief as long as they should.  I have had better success with Biofreeze than other brands.

My pain and aches are gone. These work well and are not as pricey as the name brands.  Very happy with our purchase.

I really like using these pain relief micro patches.  They are very easy to use and effective.  I love using them on my neck and shoulder blades which are very tense and cause me to have tension headaches.  The patches come in three plastic pouches in a sealed top.  They are easy to apply by just peeling of the plastic and placing them on the spots that need treatment.  They have a menthol scent to them but to me it is not too overpowering.  While wearing the patches they give the treated spots a bit of a warming, tingling sensation that shows me that they are deeply penetrating to target the painful spots and muscles.  They stay on nicely and gave me targeted relief for up to 12 hours.  The patches are easy to remove without any sticky residue.  Really recommend these micro patches!.  She says they really help her.

That being said, after my success with Penetrx,  I recommended it to several colleagues who found the same and I also regularly purchase it for my 94 year old father who complained of the same ;Bone-on Bone; pain in his back and shoulders. I am 55 and I have had arthritis in both my thumbs for about 10 years.  I also have not needed to use my thumb splints for about 6 months now since starting to use Penetrx, so regardless of any studies, I am very satisfied with the results.   In the last couple of years It is gotten worse  confirmed by x-ray - the cartilage is gone .   The good: It smells GREAT - It is not sticky, or slick --  there is a VERY mild hint of mint and it actually leaves your skin feeling smooth and clean.  Obviously, I would love a better solutions  I am an IT guy - I type a lot including using my thumbs   I tried a lot of OTC pain medications including Arthritis cremes, Blue Emu, which BTW, I believe is a very fine muscle application, but does not touch the arthritis, and other topicals, like Tiger Balm and Cobra Venom most of which have been largely useless.   Usage - I would make it clear again that this is medicine, not magic.   Obviously, It is not magic.  It goes to work very slowly.  I find my movement range increases and the pain is significantly reduced when I grip something - the pain is not ;gone; but I am no longer wincing from it when I open a bottle or grip a tool.  Whereas you might expect a topical like something with Menthol  icy hot or the like   to work quickly I have found it takes about a week or even two to ;ramp up; with Penetrex.  That being said, once it does, It is very effective and you need less of it on a less frequent basis.  Note that studies on Arnica, a type sunflower, support It is anti inflammatory use  go look it up on google - ;arnica studies;  although there is no compelling studies to validate It is use in arthritis pain, so take this review with a grain of salt - these are personal experiences.   I have tried Penetrex at times on more ;muscular; aches and pains and actually would not recommend it for this purpose  it works too slowly and It is too expensive , but if you have got deep, chronic ;bone on bone; ache, give it a try   and give it a chance - I had recommend using an entire 2 ounce treatment over two to three weeks before making any decisions  and I suspect You will  find significant value in the treatment.  I consulted a surgeon who said I was too young for any type of surgery  hint: The only thing available is to fuse the bones -- yikes!  - he thought steroid injections would lead to further deterioration so he recommended a splinting procedure to allow the joint s to rest -  you wear thumb splints - they are uncomfortable and inconvenient, and they mobilize your thumbs - but they do help.   I did, my 94 year old Dad did and my friend whos just recovering from spinal surgery did too.  It does not replace cartilage but it seems to have anti-inflammatory properties similar to a mild dose of steroids  with none of the side-effects .   Do your own homework, then give it a try and let others know what you think.  Basically, there is something in Penetrex that just works.  Look at the star ratings here as well - as of this date, over 1600 of the 2000 ratings are 4-5 starts with the majority in the 5 star range.   Nothing except Penetrex has ever come close to touching the deep bone-on-bone pain I feel in my thumbs.  Either that is a lot of placebo talking, or these guys have figured something out.  Kind of odd, I do not have it anywhere else, but try not using your thumbs for a day and You will see the problem.   Either way, I am happy and will continue to buy the product my purposes - long term relieve of bone-on-bone pain.   I have also tried competitive preparations, including CT creme which has some of the same main ingredient   Arnica  and found them ineffective.  When inflammation is reduced it reduces your pain as well.

Provides some relief for extended period of time. These patches worked for temporary relief, the only this I would recommend using a stronger adhesive to prevent the patch from rolling around.

Great value for cost!  It really works. I love these patches! After a few bulging/ ruptured discs in my back, these are an amazing help.

I did a good choice in buying this item. It helped me so much I slept great I would buy this again.  If they relieve my pain.  It did not rub on my t-shirt and definitely provided relief.

I have developed tendinitis in my right elbow due to my work.  These patches, under my compression sleeve, allow me to continue my work that I love.  I am a customer for life.   It also has a strong smell which I happen to like, but I would not necessarily go out in public with that strong of a smell.

The patches stick better on the back because there is less movement.  I have had two shoulder replacements and a ACDF C4-C7 fusion and it helped me.  They help with back pain but not so much on the knees.  I have used the name brand patches and they do stick a bit better.  It depends on where the patch is put as to whether it sticks well.  Of course I was up and moving around so the patch has to contend with that. I found these to be more effective on some areas than others.

Targeted Micro Patch There are some really great things about Absorbine Jr Plus micro patches that I loved. I got this as a promotion,  I get lots of pain in the hand.  this patch is a perfect size for my hand.  I cut a strip to make it like a bandage and wrapped it around my fingers for when the pain is at the joints.  it works quickly and does not leave a strong odor.  I have also used it on my knees.  I wished that it had a more round shape for the knees.  I was pain-free for several hrs which is a plus.  will be getting more.

I decided to just buy bulk to having to drive around looking for them. The stuff actually worksI wish I would have known about it earlier because this is not only the first time I felt relieved from a lotion type pain medication but I did not even have to take a Motrin or narcotic to feel relief With it and I have also been prescribed narcotics in the past so I have when used to those in my past so I know exactly what It is like to be without them It is been a while on a rainy day my body has the want or need for one or some thing similar Not to mention I have a very physically and mentally straining job I lift and transfer residents at a nursing home with a CNA license while pursuing a nursing degree so it was to say the last thing I need while studying homework is sciatica pain neck and shoulder pain from my extra firm mattress that I refuse to replace because I do not have the room in my parents basement right now and every now and then I will hit my arm or leg on some thing and I rub a little bit of this on there for minors muscle strain and It is Like it completely numb the way the pain I have use lidocaine I have used icy hot I have used bio freeze I have used Aspercreme and then they have all done nothing to my type of pains But this does it for some reason and I I have had to take my Motrin 800 and I have no need or want Or a narcotic because my pain is gone of course the Cream Does not last Forever so it does need to be applied like three times daily but I I have had to apply it more than that so far which is nice but I would by far recommend less over anything else I still have a couple other ones at home I have not tried because this one has been the best so seriously if you have aches and pains from working your butt off at a job this is your stuff Not to mention I really dry skin and really sensitive skin I swear to all goodness I Can not even put a Victorias Secret lotion on my skin anymore because I do not even know why and I Can not stay out in the sun for long because my skin is so fragile now and I am Native American but that all changed because of medications that I am on For migraines and the pros outweigh the cons so the fact that it gets rid of my migraines I would never stop the medication dry skin and sensitive skin versus having migraines I am gonna stay on the medication… TMI and needless to say the scent is not too strong It is faintly beautiful a little goes a long way And it makes your skin feel healthy and hydrated.

My familys been hooked on Penetrex for years.  The cream has a subtly minty scent and an added moisturizer benefit, but the roll-on version absorbs quickly and works just as well for pain relief  it goes on like roll-on deodorant .  Got swollen red feet at the end of the day? Slab this on.  Injury? Put some on during the day, and for even faster benefits also apply it just before bed.  Chronic pain? It might not be able to heal you entirely, but it can help a lot with the inflammation, pain, and mobility if you use it semi-regularly, especially during flares.  This has been a very reliable formula  please never change it!  and a go-to anti-inflammatory method for me, and the company has always been very pleasant to order from  both on   and their site . I primarily used these for my hand and back and it took the edge off my back and completely  helped my hand I would purchased this again.

Perfect size. They do have a  slight medicinal odor,  but It is better than any other rub I have tried.   My body does not recover like it used to.   On top of it all, It is not greasy and your hands do not bur  from application.  These little patches pack a big punch with pain relief! They are easy to use, stick for more than twelve hours and work! Then I opened it and noticed the smell is quite pleasant, not at all mediciney or overly menthol like other similarly marketed products. I have pretty bad recurring lower back issues that extend to my buttocks and hips as well.  I found relief for about 30-45 minutes after application. , but got this balm based on its excellent reviews.  I would recommend this to those suffering from lower back/sciatica type pain.  I have historically used icy hot, tiger balm, etc. I  reapplied in the morning and still feels pretty good last a little longer I think then the12 hours that it says . upon receipt I was impressed with the amount of product for the cost.

I have tried all kinds of back patches to play golf in, and have finally found one that I  like the most.   What is its best feature, is that it stays where you apply it, and sweat does not cause it to move.   This is what I will be buying from here on out. My daughter has been using them and she has been saying how thick they are and how much pain relief she was getting.

Excellent pain relief.   When I first opened pouch there was a strong scent but once I put the pad on my lower back, the smell did not linger for long.   I used the product on my lower back where I was having some pain.   After about 10 minutes there was a cool sensation and the pain started to subside and eventually was gone.   I would definitely recommend this product.

I have arthritis in my spine and have had spinal fusion.   This keeps the pain away when I know I will be gardening or doing lifting. The Lidocaine patches are great.  The patches are odor free. pinched nerve.

I liked this they are better than ice hot pads because Ice hot do not stick very good. It is a little hard to get used to! But later I liked it.

I was greatly impressed as also help my lower back.  The result of these knee pain patches was really good.  After putting them on my knees, patches feel very warm and comfortable.  There can be burning at times.  When that occurs I just remove the pad. I bought these for a knee injury and they work fantastic.  I have noticed that my skin is more sensitive to it after showering so I will not put it on at those times.  In my opinion, some people might be feeling a bit more burning sensation because everybodys skin reacts differently to the medicine.  I would suggest you guys stay calm, take off the pads for a few minutes, and put them back on when you feel comfortable.  Adhesion is good for 8 hours, feels soft to touch and they are flexible as l move in any direction.  I will continue to use it. It is works well with pain relief and It is thickness is obsolete.

I am training for a race in 3 months. I have used Penetrex for years  for an old knee injury.   It is a good product.   However, it appears Penetrex has been taken over by another company that uses different packaging.   I had to punch through it with an ice pick.   This packaging would be impossible for someone with arthritic hands.   I gave it a 2 rating but if a customer Can not open the jar it merits a big fat 0.

I got this as a promotion,  I get lots of pain in the hand.  The strip tends to peel very slightly, but it stays in place.  I have also used it on my knees.  I wished that it had a more round shape for the knees.  this patch is a perfect size for my hand.  I was pain-free for several hrs which is a plus.  will be getting more. There was no redness on my skin after removing the patch and no residue left on my skin. I am quite stingy with 5 star reviews so if a product gets 5 stars from me it has REALLY impressed me!  This iShanCare brand back pain patch earns 100 stars, but I am limited to 5.  No smell like you often get with creams or gels.  I have used all the major brands and like them but I LOVE these.   These come packaged in a flat box with 2 foil like envelopes that are very easy to tear open neatly across the top.   Completely unnoticeable pain relief.  I find it to be a non-issue because the peel off backing is so secure that there is no loss of efficacy.  In fact, peeling the backing off was the only thing I found to be an issue.   I am thoroughly impressed and am definitely going to purchase this item again.  But after a little finesse trying to find a spot to peel, the backing it did peel off revealing the adhesive.  They are shaped differently than the usual rectangle you get with other patches but yet again, it works.  You get 24 patches.  Not like a menthol heat, but more like heat pad  or portable hand warmer pouch  type of heat.   A radiating heat.   So much so, that i reached back and touched the patch to feel if it felt hot from the outside.   12 in each pouch.  I bent over, squatted, stretched and even though it felt like it was peeling off on occasion, it stayed firmly and comfortably in place.  The radiating heat would often come and go but remained strong throughout the entire time wearing the patches.   Easily portable in an overnight bag, purse or suitcase.  I often rely on patches and topical creams and gels for pain relief instead of taking oral medication.  The envelopes are not resealable, which seems to be an issue for a lot of the people who reviewed this product.   I cannot stress enough how excited I am that I found and took a chance on this fantastic item!.   They stick well and I wore jeans after applying and even though I felt a pulling sensation, like it was pulling away from my skin, they stayed in place without any flapping loose edges.  It did not. This works quick and patch stays on no matter what you are doing.  If they had a little spot that was easy to pull apart they would be 100% perfection.   I wore one to bed and peeled it off next morning and still felt warmth, I only removed it because it was well past the 8 hr time.

I received these Absorbine micro patch deep penetrating targeted pain relief patches free from hometesters club For my honest review.  I used them the other night for my lower back pain and I could honestly say they were the perfect size, the adhesive sticks so well that I could not even rip them off the next day, the menthol smell is not too overbearing, And they worked really good at easing my pain.  Will definetly be purchasing again.  I started with a well known name brand, and it helped.

Knocks out pain. I have tried and experimented with many ointments for joint and hand pain.   I finally settled on rubbing in Penetrex plus an additional dab of Aspercreme.   I have been using this routine for over a year now.   Together, they seem to not just relieve the pain but to actually provide a degree pf anti-inflammatory healing, in that my light weight-lifting exercises limited by my joint problems have expanded.   Great combination!.

This is the only way I can go to sleep some nights. This patch provides excellent pain relief and feels cold when first applied.  It does smell a little but like most pain relief stuff.  It is the best patch for pain that I have used.  A physical therapist gave me these because they use them on patients after their therapy is completed.

Great for relieving even the tight knots that are painful.  Also they stay on your skin nice,without peeling off like some brands.  Well on the way to our destination i pulled a back muscle.

These Absorbine Jr.   You get three packs containing 20 individually wrapped patches, for a total of 60.   They are roughly 3 x 2, so not really micro unless you compare to other adhesive pain removers.   They do smell like the traditional topical pain reliever gels, ointments, and patches, but because they are small, You will  get less of that. I used one of the patches for my shoulder after working in my yard.  adhesive patches work almost instantly to kill pain in small areas, thanks to camphor and menthol.

I have had 3 bulging disc for a minimum of 12 years this patch is the only thing I have found that helps other than pillsmuch rather use these patches. I tried this thinking it would be less effective that other similar things I have tried, boy was I wrong.  These work great.

If you have any swelling from your back,, ankles,, knees,, feet,, etc. I have been using Penetrex for a few years now.  give this a try.  There is no scent to freak out over.  When inflammation is reduced it reduces your pain as well.  My chiropractor told me about it and it worked so good that I have bought it for friends who now love it. .   It smoothes into your skin very easily. Did not stay on in the shower.

Lots more range of motion in my shoulders and my back is not cracking as often because It is not tightening up as much.   Patches do work for about 8 hours but after I think 6 is probably when it starts to diminish in effectiveness.   I am also a hairdresser/cosmetologist and I spent lots of time on my feet with my hands raised.   Small enough to be able to scatter around but large enough that one or two on an area is all you need.   I have been using these on days when my back feels extra tight so I can just move around more freely without being as uncomfortable and they work GREAT.   I am happy with these and would recommend them to others.   I was introduced to these patches actually by my grandparents and I have to say, they are surprisingly more effective than I thought they could be.   I will likely continue to purchase them for myself as well. It gets rid of the pain quickly on what ever you use it on. Excellent pain relief and adhesion is excellent.

Never had a problem having it stay on or come off.  Buying the box here is a way better deal than buying them individually at the drug store. My relative uses these for occasional arthritis flare ups and says they help alot.  You can find that relief is noticed within an hour to a few hours as it whittles down the pain as time goes on.

Really works, calms the pain, Does not disappear but it decreases.   When I wake up in the morning, my pain is gone.

They work. I have problems with night time foot and leg cramps and this product is the best I have tried.   I get a cramp, get up and spray the area and in 2-3 minutes I have relief and back to bed.   No residue and clean smell.

And there lies the problem.   There is a major emphasis on the YOU part.   Now to paint my scenario.   I was diagnosed with Patellofemoral Syndrome by two different clinics.   The pain became so unbearable that I was limited to upper body exercises for three whole months.   Usually in these cases, icing and rest would be prescribed, and since X-rays and MRI both showed no signs of abnormalities, ice and rest seemed like the only logical solution.   In my perspective, Penetrex works by keeping your pain at bay so YOU can find and fix the underlying problems.   I too was under the impression that my knee would recover in time but as the clock ticked, long car rides and extensive sittings became more and more unbearable.   After 3 months of doing nothing, I took it upon myself to find a solution and after extensive reading and tinkering and soul searching, it seems my vastus medialis  inner quadriceps muscle  was at fault.   This little fault caused a myriad of messes: My lateralis tightened up, I always felt a tug in my right hip flexor, and because of the tug, my t-spine  I am a nerd, I know  would prematurely round when I squat.   EMG results confirmed my hypothesis; my VMO would shut down as soon as I ventured beyond parallel during any sort of exercises.   Now that I am armed with this discovery, I was ready to make drastic changes.   The only drawback was the massive, excruciating pain that accompanied rehab and therapy work, even the lightest workload, such as bodyweight squat and peterson step-up.   that is when I discovered Penetrex.   The creme allowed me to progressively strengthen my VMO, without having to endure the torment. Lets get something straight from the get-go; Penetrex is a pain reliever  even said so on the label  and as a pain reliever, it works surprisingly well.   Here is another scenario: My friend who is currently suffering from a similar knee issue.   His VMO rides even higher than mine, almost 4 inches above the kneecap.   He is a long distance runner and I am a powerlifter.   Two people from two different sports, suffering from the same problem.   After convincing him to drop running for a while  athletes can be very hard-headed  and go through an extensive rehab program, his kneecap no longer slides and I bet with a little more time, the pain will disappear altogether.   Yes, I do wholeheartedly recommend Penetrex for all acute injuries  and some chronic .   I came to realize that there are a certain few customers who view Penetrex as nothing more than a glorified DMSO product, and to a certain extent, I agree with them.   However, that is not necessarily a bad thing! Pure DMSO is extremely potent and works well to ease tendinitis and other symptoms.   I myself have used DMSO but found that with multiple applications in a day, even with less potent concentration and/or mixes, it tends to eat away the skin fairly fast.   However, many customer placed too much faith in the creme as a cure-all for their disorders/diseases/pain  basing on the 3 stars reviews and lower .   Penetrex does not do this and eventually you have to ramp up the dosage  while doing rehab work, of course  to speed up the healing process.   Whether it is straight DMSO or Penetrex, like I said, YOU will have to play a huge part in the recovery stage.   Do not expect to dabble on the creme and by some miracle, your tendinitis will dissipate.   If you play golf and suffer from elbow and back pain, common sense would dictate that you take some time off and REALLY find that kink in your kinetic chain.   Common sense also tells us that golfing is a very one-sided sport, so would not it make sense to focus on a bit of weight training to strength the oblique/back muscles and biceps/triceps?  If you are a long distance runner and are suffering from knee pain, do not continue grinding your knees to dust! Stop running and find the underlying problem! Take up weightlifting to strengthen the entire posterior chain; more muscle = less force absorption on the knees when the feet hit the ground.   This review should not be viewed as me chastising or as a lecture but as me sharing one of my humble life experiences  We all have to do things that we hate and being a strength athlete who absolutely loved to squat, it was heartbreaking and a blow to my ego when I was reduced to doing peterson step-ups and body weight lunges.   If you truly love what you do, be it golfing, running, lifting, or playing competitive sports, then do everything in your power to make sure you can continuing doing what you are doing!. Works well for my arthritic pain in my neck, back and knees!.

Did not help with my low back pain. Can be used anywhere on the body.

The heat is perfect, I prefer low or medium, but have cranked it up when back is really sore. Great product, helps my mom with her back pains better than pain killers pills.

If you are on the fence, just try them. I grew up in the 50s and my dad always had a bottle of Absorbine Jr.  handy for when he had sore muscles.  When I became a teenager and started working odd jobs, I learned first hand why he used it.  I have kept some around for most of my life am glad of it.  The patch for is a great way to apply it and it keeps working with no need to get out another cotton swab and reapply from a bottle.

I purchase this in bulk and give it to whoever complains of arthritis or pulled muscles and receive nothing but positive feedback. This product was small enough to put on my body and easy to use the smell was very pleasant and it was a very great pain relief pain went away instantly I love this so much.

ive been a food server for over 35 years and am on my feet all day. My wife has occasional back pain.   There are 6 individually wrapped patches in a box and they are of a good size,  about the size of a large postcard .   The box I received has an expiration date of 07/2025.   These are odor free,  a plus, unlike the menthol ones .   The peel away backing has a slit in the middle so that it is easy to remove the backing halves from the center.   These work very well due to the 4% Lidocaine and should provide help for back pain relief.

This product is great for muscular/shallow pain! Will be ordering more for my muscle soreness.  I liked that it was the right size.

I was a little skeptical about these patches,  but that changed quickly. I am 47 and workout almost daily.  The backing peels off easily.   They do have a  slight medicinal odor,  but It is better than any other rub I have tried.   On top of it all, It is not greasy and your hands do not bur  from application.   My body does not recover like it used to.   They are fantastic!.   What is its best feature, is that it stays where you apply it, and sweat does not cause it to move.

I do not like taking narcotics so I switch to these patches! They work wonders!!! I would recommend them!!!!. Cool when you first apply, but does take the pain away!! I recently went through a very painful cervical spine surgery. Pain relief very good product.

Absorbine Jr.  Targeted Micro Patch There are some really great things about Absorbine Jr Plus micro patches that I loved.  You get 60 small patches  but they are larger than I expected  in 3 resealable bags.  Great for taking some in your purse or gym bag.  You will immediately catch the scent of menthol, I enjoy the smell.  They are also sweat proof which is great considering I sweat like crazy while working.  Obviously these are not a cure for your pain, but they definitely help ease your pain.  And at least you are not constantly taking pain meds to function.  I used these on my lower back and my knees.  I would highly recommend these to anyone who has any aches that need extra. I  was having a gimpy left knee and was finding walking hard.

However, do note that it has numbing effect just as it described on the page.  The numbing effect is only temporarily and shouldnt be used too much.  If you have long term pain, this is not for you. For the price, this   branded  Lidocaine patch is half the price of the other brands, and great for general usage.   For general usage, such as pain from playing sports, this is perfect.  It allows gives a soothing effect.  These have their purpose, just not good when laying down, edpecyif you move a lot like me.

Back pain really helped with patch.  I was going to have to get a 2nd injection, but now I do not have to.

Pain was cut to minimal ache.  I pray they never stop making this product.  It is worth it trust me. .  You have to commit to the 3-4 times a day for the 1st 10-14 days. .  By day 14 when I went to put it on I realized I was putting it on an area that actually did not actually hurt like it use to.  Docotr prescribed awful pills they did not work.

Its shape is interesting but might not have any functional effect.   It is good to have it in the medicine box. It is not the best pain relief patch I have had but it is okay for minor pain. I have suffered with a lot of muscle pain in my neck and these have been a lifesaver!! They have helped so much!.

The heating pad works great and I love that It is washable. I have had an indeterminate leg problem for six months.  there is a muscle bulging out on my calf then I am finally having an MRI on but if I put one of these patches on that muscle on my leg the pain in my entire leg pain goes away which sometimes is from my ankle to my hip on the front of my leg or the side.  The lidocaine in these makes the pain go completely away.

I was amazed as my experience with patches has been fair at best.  My neighbors husband was cleaning out gutters and tweaked his shoulder, I gave him a patch to try and he had his wife call and ask where I got these patches as his shoulder felt fine.   By next morning my lower back was in so much pain spasms and Tylenol was no help.  This package of Careland Lidocaine gel patches were still on a table waiting to be put away.  It is nice to find a product that does what it claims.  It was not long before the pain subsided and did not return, spasms stopped. It just so happened these patches recently arrived the same day I was up and down a ladder hanging a 170 inch drapery rod system and the drapes. My daughter has been using them and she has been saying how thick they are and how much pain relief she was getting.   I figured may as well give one a try.

They last a long time, I have fallen asleep with one on  surprised it survived the shower  and it was still active when I peeled it off. Helped with pain of broken ribs.

It has no odor and will feel cold after sticking it, Slightly thicker than Salon Pas or Generic brand,. This helped relieve my back pain. Maybe it is good for muscle soreness and improves my lower back disc pain.  Thank you. What miracle hath Penetrex wrought? Having spent the better part of the past week wracked with pain so excruciating the thought crossed my mind -- not that I had ever act upon it, but I now have personal, experiential understanding of the impulse -- Somebody PLEASE put me outta my misery!  Then, my   order, including my 2oz jar of Penetrex, came this morning, right in the nick of time! As soon as I got it upstairs, I opened it, and rubbed it into the center of greatest nerve pain from my regenerating sciatic nerve, my left shin.

I put on this patch and it seems to help alot.  Very easy to apply and they stick well. I have been going to physical therapy for my shoulder and this makes me sore afterwards. Product was very good only wish more came in the box for the price.

Good pain relief.  Easy to put on and stay on.  Very much like the prescription version as far as the patch quality.  Of course, prescription is 5%, and this is 4% but other than that, these seem the same.  These stay on and work better than most of the other brands I have tried. These patches worked for temporary relief, the only this I would recommend using a stronger adhesive to prevent the patch from rolling around.

It seemed to intensify the warmth and it got deeper into my knee. I would like to start with the fact that the patches are great, they did the job very well for me.  The pain in my joints disappeared within a matter of a few minutes of wearing this product.  I highly recommend this product to all people with arthritis pain, knee surgeries, and common or sports injuries.  They heat up very well.  I have sensitive skin so it burns a little at the beginning but it takes away the pain really fast.  I also use it on my back as well.  It is not sticky nor emits a bad smell.  I let it stay on all night and when I got up this morning, there was no pain at all.  I would recommend these patches to anyone who needs a good topical pain remedy.  I would suggest covering your knee after application.  I found if I wear loose pants, or even use a blanket, that the benefit is greater.  These patches stick and are effective for much longer than 8 hours.  Well worth the money.

They are not fancy patches, but they do their job. I was very impressed with these pain relief patches.  They relieved my pain much better than similar products over the counter.  They actually stay on with no problem.

This was my first experience with lidocaine patches I Could not afford the 5% I was prescribed so I tried these the price is amazing I really wanted to like these but I needed them for my shoulder and the just Could not stay in position.  They do not fall off but they do shift position a few cm every now and then depending where your using these it might not be a problem but since I needed them in a specific location in a narrow shoulder a slight shift turned uncomfortable I still managed to use them when lying down and not moving and they worked great provided good relief and even with the shifting I would purchase again.  If you need this I would just try it the price is great and It is really a good product just see if you can get someone to help you apply it on your body will go alot better trust me.  The smell is subtle and It is not greasy either, which honestly was just a bonus.

Using these patches relived almost all of my pain . I like that these patches are larger and have more medicine in them than some pharmacy brand patches.  The Basic Care patches are also more spongy / had more lidocaine  and gave me more relief than other brands.   I had been using CVS brand patches that just did not stick well, were thin and were not as large as the Basic Care patches.

Pain relief very good product. Surprisingly it took my knee pain away for several hours.  I had slight problem applying it to my knee.  Had some ridges in it.

Hand knuckles pain diminishes quickly and lasts most of the day. I have a condition where my connective tissue is being destroyed by my body.  I was looking for something to help me through the severe pain of pinched nerves, as I am not a fan of being incapacitated by expensive prescription drugs all the time, wasting days in emergency rooms, being in too much pain to live, nor do I like the heart and kidney problems that come from over exposure to medicines.  Around 2 years ago I got frustrated and came to   to look for help. g.   I did lots of comparison tests on all the creams I received and soon threw away all but around 1/2 a dozen of the creams.  Three of the creams worked on nerve pain about as well as Penetrex, however, I am vegetarian, and they were not.  One of the products worked just a little less well, but was in the same price range.  One of the products, the cheapest, I now get to apply to my dog, for her wobblers condition, as that product comes with a thin gel option. , for my tennis elbow, applying Penetrex to my elbow makes my brain happy because my brain rationalizes that that is where the pain is coming from, however, it does nothing to reduce the pain.  But Penetrex REALLY works!  I later found out that I have a friend with a different condition from mine that has caused her disks to degenerate.  She could barely walk from the nerve pain, and spent most of her life on super high levels of drugs that barely cut the pain.  I gave her a tub of Penetrex.  One month later I ran into her and she grabbed me and hugged me, crying.  I have to apply the cream to my neck and shoulders, as that is where the pinched nerve is.  Kinda in a scary good way  I had a friend who broke some of the bones in her foot, and did not go to the doctors until she had been walking on them for 4 months.  Lets just say that the pain was pretty bad, and the bones were very messed up.  I gave her a jar of Penetrex to help her sleep, as the doctors were still hopeful that she might not need surgery She used the Penetrex cream and was so pain free that one day she did not wash it off before going into work.  She walked on her broken foot for an entire day and felt no pain because of the Penetrex.  Lets just say that she eventually had to have the bones in her feet pinned, however, the Penetrex allowed her to sleep pain free, and recover.  When applied to my neck and shoulders, then the Penetrex cuts down on the pain from the tennis elbo.  I called her to check on her a week after she broke her leg.  She was in very bad shape as the pain had been so bad she could barely sleep all week, and the pain pills the doctor sent her home with were not helping at all.  I was able to send a jar of Penetrex to her, and soon got a phone call from her, crying and thanking me for the Penetrex, and how much help it was.  Apparently she slept for almost 2 days solid, as soon as the Penetrex cream started working.  Sadly, although it helps some with the tennis elbo pain, it is definitely not the correct product for the job, as no amount of coatings is enough to actually stop the pain.  However, after she took a shower, she realized the enormity of her mistake, as she had caused a lot of damage to her broken bone by walking on it all day.  She did not repeat that mistake again, and was very cautious about when she had the cream on ever after that.   I later gave some to a friend who was having a lot of rib pain.  He had tripped and fallen onto a small stump, where he broke 3 ribs in multiple places.    So, yes, I would and do HIGHLY recommend Penetrex.  With Penetrex, he was able to sleep pain free, and recovered quickly.   Honestly, although I do not know for certain, I am betting that Penetrex is every parents dream for kids with growing pains in their legs, too.  I will report back, if I end up sharing it with anyone in that situation.   The important things to know about applying Penetrex cream: - Apply an amount equivalent to a heavy coating of sunscreen.  I have recommended it to at least 100 people over the 2 years since I discovered it! I also recommend it to everyone as a part of your standard first aid kit.  - It takes about 20 minutes for the cream to absorb into your skin.  Wait that full amount of time before attempting to apply another coat if you want greater relief.  You can apply as many coats as needed to do the job.  - Each application, when applied after the prior layer has fully absorbed, will have a cumulative effect.  Penetrex really has been a godsend for me and so many of my friends!.  Given how much my drugs already cost me, and how much of my life I had already lost hoping for solutions, I figured that it was worth the money to try a whole bunch of the options and see what worked so I purchased almost three dozen of the top rated topical creams.  That product may have been the cheapest, but it was also the weakest of the products that actually seem to work at all.  Apparently, Penetrex was helping her so much that she was actually able to ease off a lot of her pain killers and was able to start going on daily walks; something she had not been able to do in over 20 years!  Interestingly enough, not only does Penetrex work well for muscle and nerve pain, but it cuts bone pain to nothing.  But she did remember to wash it off every morning after that one time  A different friend broke her leg in a weird spiral fracture that was not healing well and was extremely painful.  These work so much better than prescription patches.  he Could not even breath or drive because of the pain, and sleeping was not happening.  - The cream will start working immediately, but takes around 20 minutes to achieve maximum effect.   If you do not wait, applying another coating to a wet coating does not seem to actually do more good than just applying one coating  - If you apply a coating and the cream does not help much, then Penetrex is either the wrong product for the type of pain you are in, or you are not actually applying the cream at the source of your pain.  Like my friend with the broken foot, however, one day she forgot to wash the cream off her leg, and she spent the entire day blissfully puttering around the house, in no pain  forgetting to put on her removable brace/cast.

This heating pad is one of if not the best one I have purchased.  In love that the padding in soft and the pad does not get all bent up, which always seems impossible to get it straightened out again. I have purchased many heating padmthe last few years.   It acted very fast!  My pain was reduced substatially in just few minutes.

Works better than sollonpas. Love it. My boyfriend has been using these patches on his elbows because hes been in great pain and they definately relieve the pain!.

Get both. Depending on the severity of pain and the person, it can provide very quick relief. We have used this product for years.  I prefer the roll on but a 2 neighbors prefer the spray.

Same when applied to back and to shoulder.   Bit of a miracle patch and no not offered anything for this review.   Applied to hip and within minutes it reduced the pain. These work great. These are SO much more effective than the typical hot/cold packs.

I suffer from CRPS in my hand and I have tried quite a few types of creams to help with pain discomfort and stiffness in my joints and so far this is the only one that I have not had a reaction to.  It did not come off not 1 time.

These smaller sized patches really work to target pain areas.  They adhere very well and stay in place for hours.  I really like this smaller sized option because sometimes I do not need a large patch.  Very convenient and price is right too!. Works well.

These micro sized Absorbine JR.  patches worked as expected on my shoulder and heel.  I have always used Salonpas in the past, but those patches did not seem to stay on my skin.  Not because I have unusual skin or anything, but the patches always came off from the skin for some reason.  On the contrary, these patches stayed solid on my shoulder and legs for over 12 hours.  I even took showers with the patches on, and they were still glued to my shoulder.  I also found these patches were as effective and strong as other brand ones I have tried.  The minor pain I had on my shoulder and heels got better after a couple of days of using these.  Overall, these patches are a good solution for minor pains and aches, and the micro size is especially effective when applying to fingers, toes, heels, and knees where the bigger sized patches are not necessary. I got these for my mom because she has pain with her sciatic nerve.

Very easy to forget you have it on, which is awesome. I am a young person, just turned 30, but I am also a runner so I experience a lot of pressure and impact to my knees.  Definitely try these out if you have been looking for a non-medicated way to manage your pain!.  I usually forget I am wearing it, because of its comfort level.  I was so happy the 4% It is ones are so good! A common comment is frequently about adhesion.  Anytime I get an ache or pain in my knees, I use these patches and it subsides within a short amount of time.

I was recently diagnosed with degenerative disc disease and have been in a crazy amount of pain.  I bought these because I think I have tried just about everything else.  These are like magic! I cut them in half to target some areas better.  I have these on auto subscribe and I will cry a million tears if these are ever discontinued.  I have not tried the other products that use menthol, but I do have a container of the cream on the way.  I really cannot recommend these enough.  If you are on the fence, just try them. Love it, wish the had bigger ones.

Helps cool the burning neuropathy on my lower legs and feet. I have pretty much fixed my arthritic knees by myself but lately my diet has been off and the pain was bad again.  This product got me back to NO PAIN within 24 hours!!  I am hooked!!.

The adhesive is not the greatest but none of them habe great sticking power. I have complex regional pain syndrome in my left leg and foot.  It stayed in place comfortably and securely.  Had to add tape to wear my shoe  at work .  I have been using lido patches for years and this works even better than the aspercreme patches I usually buy.  I cut up the patch and put it on spots I needed it then wrapped my foot with a self clinging wrap.

Love how this item deadens the pain for several hours.  Used on lower back pain.

In June, I had a partial knee replacement removed and replaced with a total knee replacement.  Surgery went textbook except my bone had deformed around the previous knee and much of my tibia  the larger, weight-bearing bone of the leg  broke off with the old knee.  much prep work with spacers, new bone matric, etc had to be done before the new knee replacement could be evenly inserted and cemented.  My quadriceps muscle was sliced longitudinally to allow access.  For the first few days my hospital stay was great I walked, climbed stairs, had over 95 degrees range of motion.  But massive localized inflammation set in on the 3rd day and because I have had 2 major stomach surgeries, I cannot swallow NSAIDS anti inflammatory drugs like Alleve, Ibuprofen, Naproxyn, etc. , or even aspirin But my knee and legwere swollen to 44from my normal size of 19-21.  The only medication that workedat all on the extreme painqnd swelling or this inflammatory response was a dangerous IV NSAID called toradol which I couldonly receive for 3 days while in hospital or risk losing my kidney funcion The anesthesiologists had  to administer it.  I was sent home with opiod pain pills but nohing for the inflammation.  By the next morning my knee was back up to 44, hot, unable o bend, painful to try usi g my walker or cruzches.  In the next few weeks, we tried a trial ofCelebrex,prescription-only diclofenac cream, doubl doses of Curcumin.  Nothing helped.  The Orthopedic surgeon had no suggestions. Worked as directed , good for minor aches and pains .  I became so desperate that I took Alleve orally for 2 days until my gut began bleeding.  My sister convinced me to pook at over the counter creams, that there must be one that had found anvehicle to get thir product through the many skin layers which are actually designed to keep these creams out.  I agreed that if I found somthing ith at least one major ingredient for whoch there was some science, I would try it Thank the Lord, I found Penetrex cream before I gave up.  I knew that oral homeopathic doe s of Arnica worked well on bruises and the pain of broken bones.  I knew that oral Botswelia and Oral Glucosamine have shown to provide some relief but this was all in antopical cream.  And it is not cheap but I was out of options & really did not believe I would get well until I could decrease or eliminate this inflammation.  So I ordered the small size & when it arrived, I followedinstructions & massaged the appropriate amount into my knee and surrouding tissues.  Smelled good, easy to absorb.  Then I went about my reading until about 2 hours later, a strange feeling came over me & I beganchecking for what was wrong.  Then it hit me like a hurricane — my knee Was not hot, the swelling was reduced and the pain was much lighter.  I massaged in some more, and y t again after another 5 hours.  when I awoke, I got out of bed without my walker, could actually begin to see my kneecap where once was just a blob and I could walk.  At physical therapy later that day, I did the Pilates Teformer was cercises, could pedal the bicycle wheel all the time way over and had range of motion of 123 degrees.  I put on more cream cheese hen I got home & more before bed.  I slept through the night.  Today I was able to repot over a doz n pots of flowers, cook supper, bathe myself, and even started work on a new quilt.  Look this could all be coincidental.  It could be that my knee is finally beginning to heal on its own.  But I personally believe  andI am an epidemiologist married to a board-certified MD  that something  in this cream works on inflammation and lets me live a nearly normal, nearly painfree life just 3 minutes months after q complete knee replacement with partial bone replacement.  It mike make all the difference in your life like it did in mind.  My husband, an emergency physician, had no ideas.

I have purchased them before Individually at the $1 store.  They stick in and offer excellent relief.  I decided to just buy bulk to having to drive around looking for them. Using for years everyone I let try it wants it! Also helps headaches and sinus congestion!.

Decent patches, I just find that if I am laying down, they do not stay in place and they bunch up which means I have to take it off. Relief of pain was quick, lasted a couple hours enough to get a break.

This works great when I mix it with cbd oil.  I have told many of my friends about Penetrex mixed with cbd oil.  They all say it works great.  Having them come off and roll up  they do not provide relief as long as they should.

I have tried shorts; they work for 3-6 months, and I have tried all over the counter patches they work only on contact.  But these patches work, and I am able to sleep at night.  It is a calming smell.  That being said, once it does, It is very effective and you need less of it on a less frequent basis.

I was able to move around and the patch stayed in place. I really like that these patches were small and was to apply.   Lots more range of motion in my shoulders and my back is not cracking as often because It is not tightening up as much.  The smell is strong but I found that after awhile it was not as noticable.

If you peel off all the plastic at the same time, this patch will flop around and stick to itself. My back had been hurting for days and I put two of these on my back and the pain subsided and has not returned. 00 for a box of 5 at my drugstore.  I got a prescription and my COPAY was $10. 00!!!!!!!!!  I shopped around, and there they were only $5. 00 a box on  .  They work in exactly the same way, and are very effective.   Tip: peel off about 1/2 to 1 of the protective clear plastic, apply that part to the sore area, and then unpeel the rest of the clear plastic. I really NEEDED these, and could not afford to pay $15.

It works as I expected. Over last Sunday afternoon I worked under the bathroom sinks to replace all 3 20+ years old faucets in the house.   It took me sometime to remove the rusty nuts in order to take out the old faucets. These patches work great on my ankle and wrist I will continue to purchase these.   When I received this package of pain relief patches today  Wednesday , I opened it and put one on my shoulder immediately.   It acted very fast!  My pain was reduced substatially in just few minutes.   The pain is almost gone now unless I touch the area hard.   As a result, I started having some shoulder pain the next day  Monday.

do not have good adhesion , not very good scent to menthol , not helping with the paint. I have fibromyalgia and have had it for 20 yearsthis is the first topical that has helpedI can sleep, work, etcwithout pain.   The pain comes back  if you have widespread pain, like I do , obviously, but it truly helps day to day activity, sleep, work, etc, and I am an active person who works a lot of hours.   I would strongly suggest giving this a try.   It does not have a medicine odor, it has never stained my clothes, or Left any residueI use it before work and if needed after workI also use it when I travel overseas.   The travel size is OK for airplanes.   I have been using this product for a year.

99 last me roughly 2 months.  Used Pain Patches with great success BEFORE Medicare would NOT cover them.  They should! This product has helped my pain to be at least bearable.   I am on my 4th jar. I have had sciatic nerve pain in my leg for 3 months. Great value for cost!  It really works.

These are my hands down favorite pain patch.  These work the best for me.  I try to keep them on hand at all times! They stay put, they last a long time too.  I put on this patch and it seems to help alot.

I bought this after reading the reviews for my husband as he suffers peripheral neuropathy from diabetes in his feet and legs.  He has tried many creams, medications ect and none worked as well as this! It provides instant relief and lasts for about an hour.  If they relieve my pain.  He uses it nightly before bed and again in the morning.

that is the low end of the price spectrum you need to be looking in, if you work sitting down. Mom is 94 and has arthritis in her feet.   He recommended these patches and mom places them strategically on her feet and has found great relief each night and can sleep.   We especially like this bigger box of 15.   Highly recommend!.

All this time my husband has practically crawled out of the truck every day, coming home and going straight to bed, he is naturally thin and over this time period lost over twenty lb.  due to loss of appetite and occasional vomiting from pain, I was actually convinced I was going to have to get a class A license myself so I could at least fill in for him a couple days a week because I knew he could not continue like this much longer and he confirmed this 21 days ago telling me he was ready to give up, he had had enough.  ago he came in from the garage and went straight to bed, he was convinced he had kidney stones again.  Mind you between all of this, he has been doing the recommended exercises, using a inversion table, using all kinds of ointments, back braces, gel cushion, hot baths, pain patches, insoles, pillow between legs while sleeping and a severe dependency on Excedrin Ex twenty plus a day.  The doctor suggested it sounded like he was having sciatica issues and thought a chiropractor or orthopedic would better serve him.  We made an immediate appointment with a chiropractor the next day, he felt great when he came home but the minute he was back driving the truck, he was in severe pain, he continued to see the chiropractor for about 6 weeks and same thing so we then decided to try acupuncture, basically the same results.  So yesterday I got on   and started looking for anything else to try, I started reading reviews  thank you   community I would never have found this without you , I was able to get it same day and I ordered this along with Penetrex Joint & Muscle Therapy and completely blown away, I called him this morning to see how he was feeling, he had been in the truck at least 3 hours already and free of pain.  Spent two weeks in bed waiting to see urologist only to be told, even the remaining stones after the last surgery were gone  thank you lemon juice and olive oil . They have worked very well for me.   I have been using them on my shoulder and also my girlfriends back.   They stuck no problem while I was inactive/still but they do peel and buckle when active.   The warmth was good and consistent.   Neither of us had any negative skin reaction and I have already used three on my shoulder so far. One of the best products I have found for muscle pain relief and there is no bad smell.

Lidocaine works well to eliminate back pain.  Reduces need for oral narcotics.  do not try NASIDs.  Lidocaine does the job well.  No need for other ingredients.  The 4% lidocaine works just as well.   Some people think it stinks.

When she came to visit I put a patch on both knees for her trip home a state away = she was so excited she has bought enough so she will never run out. I found relief and was able to get a good nights sleep.  I have been recommending Biofreeze ever since. I was having persistent sciatic pain and I did not want to continue to take ibuprofen, my sister recommended Biofreeze. This is great stuff.

Both contain arnica but penetrex has msm and ClimbOn does not.  The ClimbOn bar is available on   as well if you are interested in comparing for yourself.  I have, among my five rare diseases, Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome which if you are not familiar is a connective tissue/collagen disorder that primarily impacts the joints and skin  there are vascular and other involvements as well, but that is not relevant here .   Regarding the formulation choice, tub of cream vs roll on, my most recent EDS injury was to my rotator cuff and that made application difficult, even for someone with unusual flexibility.  So overall I would say the roll on  and the bar, re ClimbOn Ridiculous!  is really handy if you have any dexterity issues at all or want to be able to carry itt in your purse or briefcase or backpack and apply on the go.  They used to call us double jointed At least it used to have a fun name, like it was a parlor trick rather than a crippling disease that might leave you dead of aortic dissection.  If your top priority is getting the most product per dollar, I did not do the math with the ClimbOn but with penetrex It is usually cheapest to buy the big pots of cream, though occasionally it switches and the smaller size tubs of cream work out cheaper.   As a person with a lot of pain from various sources, I am sorry you find yourself in need of pain relief and I recommend you talk to your doctor about a multi-modal approach, especially if your pain is moderate to severe and chronic.  But there is still a role for topical pain relief in my life and of everything I have tried, the two things that truly give some relief for musculoskeletal pain  this will not help visceral pain  are Penetrex and ClimbOn brands Ridiculous! lotion bar.  There are supplements, medications, mindfulness, physical/occupational and other therapies, integrative/alternative medicine, TENS/neuromodulation and many other medical gadgets, topical concoctions, exercise and dietary changes, inpatient pain rehab clinics,.  Because of EDS, my joints are extremely prone to coming out of socket, even normal movements like bending the knees deeply or reaching behind me or holding my cellphone can cause serious injury, and there is heavy soft tissue involvement because your muscles tie themselves in knots trying to hold your joints in place or cramping to brace around injured joints.  And on and on and on.  Those of us suffering from chronic pain have a much higher risk of dying from suicide than others but it does not have to be so.  I am in pain management and take rx and otc pain meds, use a tens unit, have done more physical therapy than I care to remember, I even tried reiki.  Keep mixing up your combination of treatment modalities until you find the particular cocktail that makes your life worth living.   that is the biggest endorsement I can give anything, and I give it to penetrex: It is one part of the secret sauce that makes me want to keep going rather than give up my fight with pain.   Which is all to say, if anyone is qualified to tell you off this stuff works, I am.  I hope it will help you as well.  Tendons and ligaments get damaged, nerves are impinged It is just not a fun disease.  Prayers and best wishes. . These are perfect. I used one of the patches for my shoulder after working in my yard.  Works great for my shoulder pain.  I liked that it was the right size.  Definitely got the relief I needed.

Great value!!. The adhesion crinkled up a little bit, but it did not come off my knees or shoulders.  Took a bit of time to start working but they really do help with pain once they start heating up.  Long lasting too!! This patch works great! 1- adhesiveness - Once attached, I took it off to see how easy it would be to remove.  It came off but I was still able to re-apply it.  I then left it on for the 12 hours, took a shower and it still stayed on.  When I went to finally take it off, it came off easily and hurt to remove.  2 - pain relief - I used this on my wrist and back and it worked great.  The patches are smaller so you would not be able to do a big area unless you applied multiple ones.  But they are great for smaller areas, like my wrist.  It worked great! I had doubts it would last the whole 12 hours but it did. I have tried patches before without success, but this was a gr8 to target certain areas of concern.

I bought this for my boyfriend who is in an intensive training.  He told me that it has been doing so good for him that after a few days the knee pain is almost completely gone!
